PROJECT 1.3 Proliferate

Making the brand as a transcendental brand, which it means making 
brand go beyond or go over the limit not only for business but also for clients.

In this phase, I choose Podozi to develop. I want to extend target group, by using the 
same notion or an idea of solving the problem of colour fit, not only for African women
but also suit every region and ethnic group, which the brand will have a ready information
 for each one.

(Transfering the digital elements to physical experiment.)

Firstly, I go back and understand the brand again and bring out the main elements that Podozi have,

which I want to transfer the digital elements to physical experiment (or tangible). Which the programme that 
will have the pop-up structure will be displaying, consulting zone, events zone, pick up & storage, and
some private tutorials.

I design to build a pop-up store or events that people can get involved. Choosing the place 
that various of people come so they can know the brand more and avoid the problem for the 
clients that the colour of a cosmetic does not fit themselves.

Then the site have to be the place that have most diversity. So I chose America to be
the country that Podozi will extend. Then the first place that pop up store will go
is Santa Monica Pier in California. The reason why I choose this place because it is a public
space that has interesting characteristic (beautiful view, lively, colourful, and lot of people coming)

Basically this is what my structure will look like. The event will be on the lifted floor.
As you can see in the picture, each colour will indicated each programme.
The structure that I design will be portable. Which it made up of metal frame that have inflatable
pillow as a facade, which it is easy to construct, pack up, and have less weight.

Project 1.2 Materials Meme

In this phase, we were focusing on experimenting materials 
and annalyzing keywords from selected brands.
__________________

Firstly, I did analyze some keywords from each brand, which are "FLEXIBLE" from Peloton,
"COLOUR & TEXTURE" from Podozi.com and "TRANSPARENCY, TRANSLUCENT & REFLECTION"
from Pyrex.Then, I use the word Flexible from materials within the bike, and keyword from Pyrex to be
part of my case study

This is a plate showing each kind of materials and how I produce the model.


This is a component of 2 brands, that I bring the seating of Peloton out and, combined with a pattern of Pyrex.

Then, I combined the production of Pyrex and Texture from Podozi.com together. Within this plate, I try to
understand the transformation from soft to hard and liquid to solid like the production of Pyrex that the
matters have to be melted first.

Lastly, This is a plate that shows a combination of 3 similarity

Project 1.1 Brand Genetics

In this phase, I have to select 3 brands as a case study, then analyze each brand
 within 3 main ideas, which are genes, norms and memes.

Selected brand:
Peloton 
Podozi.com
Pyrex

PELOTON :
Peloton is a cycling startup company that uses technology to bring up the group of exercise.
Commonly, it is an indoor cycling studio that client will have an option to choose their own schedule.


Basically, what they are doing is they are trying to encourage advanced technology 
in able to provide the most effective workout, which they merge gym equipment with an expert instructor.

What makes Peloton difference:
This cycling bike has its own characteristic. It comes with the monitor that ability to transfer live video and
on-demand video from New York to the user. Moreover, within this brand, it is a good transmitter
 that transmits message from one customer to other customers. (It creates community within the same focus)



This plate explains the primary materials used in bike frame and shows a specific part of Peloton's bike. 



PODOZI.COM :
Podozi.com is a startup online retail beauty outlet or a beauty platform for African women.
In this brand, women in colour become the main factor that company focusing on. It is based 
in Lagos, Nigeria, which the founders see that an e-commerce is growing fast in this country.


Mainly, what they are doing in this brand are collecting beauty brands from all around the world 
and sell it on the website, solving a problem of colour fit and share the education of beauty, 
so it suits specific skin tone and solves a specific problem.

This plate show what clients tell about brand, how brand want customer to see themselves
and how the clients can order the stuff.

PYREX :
Pyrex is a brand that introduced by The Corning Glass Work Company, which they were the first one 
who introduces the borosilicate glass that can use in high temperature.

In this brand, they do produce laboratory glassware and kitchenware based in France. The company is believable
 enough that guarantee with their brand's quality. Moreover, it integrates with other industries such as aerospace, 
automobile, and electronic company.  


This plate shows the production of the pyrex.



The diagram above shows the comparison of 3 brands together. which it shows each characteristic
and similarity of overlapping layer. Then I notice that technology is the main factor that creates this brand.
So I come up with another group of big circle that describes "how technology involved in our daily life."
