Pam JIdapa : Phase 2

What we needed to do is exploring the material that we have already extracted from the candidates in out first phase.
In my case, the companies are
Tiger Balm, Mitsubishi Motors, and Hybrid Air Vehicles.

The material I choose is Bamboo, because it represents the chinese heritage, and at the same time it also grows everywhere in the world, so I picked it as the material to represent the tiger balm.
The next material is electricity. The MMC has been producing the vehicles for long time, and the most prominent change is the energy consumption. Now the company has moved to developing hybrid system, and electric motors. That’s why I choose electricity to represent the MMC.

The last material I picked is Helium. The HAV use it as the main lift of the airship. It’s the key that makes all their aims possible.

So the context is
The most important thing is they must be transportable and can work well anywhere on earth.
Versatile in terms of both one-fits-all concept and customization concept. Also minimize the consumption of external fuel.
It should have the concept of the group supporting each other, Chinese heritage, and airborne.

When coming to developing the bamboo, electricity, and helium, first, I choose to use the opportunity of having the helium to use it as the main support of the building.

Experiment it by making an inflatable structure and use the micro-structure of bamboo as the scope of studying them to try to make it stronger while still being light.

The bamboo structure consist of bundles of fiber forming around a holes, and there’re lots of different levels of holes.

My first assumption is the more layer it has, the stronger it should be.

 After getting the structure of the pipe, then use it to design the floating roof frame.

The strength of the structure also gives the opportunity for the shape to get transformed and maybe placed on the ground in the future development. (This is what I didn't say at the presentation)

Another experiment is about electricity. Since I cannot evolve electricity, I focus on the research about energy that fits into this criteria.

1) Low Emission, involves recycling the energy.
2) Transportable
• light weight
•not attached to a particular spot.
3) Works in all conditions.

The best source for the moment is solar in the form of fabric.However, in the future there could be a better source like peizo electricity.

So for the component, I designed the system that uses the same method as Mitsubishi's PHEV system.
