Arch Design I, Phase III
Y2S2.
This project is targeted to show the identity of brand.
The brand is the integration between Tiger Balm, Mitsubishi Motors, and Hybrid Air Vehicles, which the proposal contains the core identity of each of the company.

Tiger Balm: Chinese Heritage, modular (iconic hexagon jar), versatile
Mitsubishi motors: all-terrain, and going hybrid but still keep the all-terrain performance.
Hybrid Air Vehicles: Mass transportation, floating.

The brand is a cross-country rally race, using reference from the existing ones like Dakar. The difference is this is an electrified-vehicle cross-country rally organizer, holding competition in China. It’s like a Chinese Dakar but with clean cars, and using airship to do the support roles.
The race is 10+ days, in the remote desert, and about 900 km driving. The race is divided into
9 subrace, and at the end of the day, there will be a camp for racers to rest, the teams to work on their cars, and the cars to get refueled. They will also have a rest days.
The core value of the brand, as extracted from the 3 initial brands, is all-terrain and transportable. The brand as human would be an active person who likes to move around all the time, versatile, and intelligence, and the brand as an organization would be a practical and innovative one.
So the proposal for the brand is the camp for the race, as I introduced earlier that there will be a camp in the middle of the race for the cars to stop at the end of the day.
In normal rally the camp would provide each team a plot of land, marked. Then the team will drive their own trucks and cars, bringing their own stuffs and team members in, then set up a camp. This create a limitation that the location of the camp, which is also affect the race route, to be in a place reachable for the support cars and trucks. So in this race, to make it a true all-terrain race, everything will be carried by an airship, so the limitations are gone.
The cars also need to be charged, so the fabric of the airship, the tents, would be a solar fabric, so it can harvest the energy from the desert and use it to power the camp. The tents are all floating, using helium (as studied in the former phase).

Each team needs their own garage space, energy for their cars, sleeping tent near their cars, and place to keep their parts. For the services, there needs to be toilets, showers, food refrigerator/kitchen.
For the event it needs the start line and finish line, stage, and sponsors’ area.
The service functions are put on the airship, lifted from the main floor, not obstructing the main functions.

Many arrangements was tried in order to find the master plan that works the best.
This final plan is

The system is, one team has their own bay. the bay is composed of 2 rows of tents, and 1 cluster of living units. This is the standard arrangement, and the cluster can be moved to customize the space to the needs of each team.
Moreover, t\his system can still be applied if the site changes.

This is how the overall complex works.
The airship fly everything (apart from the racing cars), then let out the tents, let the team customize their own space, after that it can pack up and fly away to the next spot.
When the airship lands, the helium is pumped into the tents, the tents get filled up and float.
At the same time, the airship got deflated then the balloon is pulled up creating the space inside to be used as the stage area.
The fabric from the balloon expand out to be the canopy for the common are in the middle.

When the airship is packed or flying, the containers, car parts, support cars, and support teams are on board, filling up the space.
Then, when the airship lands, the support cars transport everything into the private bays, and the space can be used as the stage for the event (the race).

Atmosphere of the bay area, and around the stage.

The start line and the finish line are put at both ends (entrance).

There are 2 types of units, but with the same roof, the open for surround the bay, marking the space, and store big things, and the enclosed for people to live in. The roof has 2 sets of 3 same type fabric, and 2 balloons. The design of the roof fabric is to prevent the sand from getting in, and allows the wind to flow through. They can also be pulled down to trap the heat inside.

The cluster have the sleeping tents, also the meeting tents. The larger openings are for connecting 2 spaces together to create larger continuous space, while the smaller openings are for people to enter and exit, not too big so the temperature inside is easier to control.

The secondary roof covers the bay area, having 3 large hexagon overlapping. The gap allows the heat to escape.
