Continue from previous phase, Select (Brand Genetics)
I study about main materials from the chosen brands, which are Angel's Musical Instruments and Issey Miyake
Angel's Musical Instruments mainly focuses on the quality of instruments, various scale for different ages, and safety instruments for kids
Issey Miyake mainly focuses on new invention, technology for clothing, famous for their folding fabric into garments
From combining these two brand concepts, I'm interested in producing something that can grow with you through time,
even your body mass has changed
First, I started from experimenting folding papers that can be developed into a expandable structure.
From experimenting, I realised that the angle creating creased is very important, different angle can effect the structure of the form.
Next, I experiment different types of fabrics which all have different properties with one form of structure.

This plate show the studies of kid's anthropometric, development, milestones, and activities
I divided these kids activities into 3 main periods.
- 3 months old
- 1 year old
- 3 years old
I select 2 expandable structures that provide different dimension and use primary colors for the design.
Supporting structure is inserted to prevent the form from collapsing down. The wire will be placed in the hold for kid's safety.
