OWS is a software organization that focuses on the development of the Signal Protocol. It also maintains an encrypted communications application called Signal. Signal is a free and open source software application that employs end-to-end encryption, allowing users to send end-to-end encrypted group, text, picture, and video messages and have encrypted phone conversations between Signal users.

Some features related to privacy of the Signal application consists of encrypted message and call, disappearing messages, hiding messages on the lock screen, and contacts verification. Signal's user interface of the chat window was compared to other well known messaging application.

Reddit: Identity

Reddit is a social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text posts, and images, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "subreddits", which cover a variety of topics including news, science, movies, video games, music, books, fitness, food, and image-sharing.

Contribution to subreddits comes in several ways, some of which are submitting posts and links, comments, upvotes, and downvotes on discussions. The Reddit application is one of the platforms that allows contribution to the Reddit's community.

The context plate displays a near future where smartglass will be a powerful wearable device that is owned by the majority of the population. Smartglass users will experience an augmented reality in their daily life and will be given suggestion on trivial information such as points of interest, tourist attraction, etc. Information on every aspect of life will be fed to the user instantaneously in the blink of an eye. Smartglass users are allowed to contact other users through the Open Whisper System which includes text, voice, and video messaging. Reddit is one of the many application on the smartglass, which inform other users the subreddit you belong to. Moreover, the Open Whisper System serves as a security system that protects the identity of the users.
